Clutter brings grungy chaos on debut EP Loves You – LOUD WOMEN

Stockholm-based four-piece Clutter release their debut EP Loves You

Clutter is composed of 20 year-olds Hilda Ander, Emma French, Ove Jerndal, and Ville Scott. This Swedish quartet blends grunge, post-hardcore, and 90s rock into a sound that’s nostalgic and fresh.

Loves You is a fast-paced EP with a raw DIY heartbeat on each track. Fuzzy guitars and relentless drums make Loves You come to life.

Alongside releasing Loves You, Clutter released an official video for ‘Geeks’. Clutter shares the following about Loves You opening track:

“‘Geeks’ is a cluttered rock n roll anthem for all nerds. It’s a confident tune full of fuzzy guitars, hard drums and vocals desperate to reach out.

Lyrically inspired by the song’ Girls Like Us’ by Julie Ruin, we wanted to write relatable and funny lyrics about us and our friends, but with an honest core. We’ve always liked the contrast between a nerdy look and a heavy tune, so that’s really what ‘Geeks’ became.

The music video solidifies this even more, it’s empowering, and also really DIY, silly and weird. But behind all of the fun, there really is an attempt to represent something unwanted. A homage to freaks and geeks everywhere, and to the people who need an anthem the most.”

With Loves You, Clutter is an act to keep on your radar.
