After absolutely smashing it at LOUD WOMEN Fest London and our Canterbury show last week, we’re beyond thrilled to announce that Halifax’s own Burry is joining the lineup for the first-ever LOUD WOMEN Fest Canada!

Burry’s radiant indie-pop songs about queerness, mental health, and identity have already won hearts across the Atlantic – delivered with warmth, wit, and enough sass to hold their own among the punks. Seeing them play in their hometown for this landmark event is going to be very special indeed.
They’ll be joined by a stacked all-Nova Scotian lineup:
✨ Moira & Claire – sister folk-pop duo whose harmonies have earned multiple Music Nova Scotia, ECMA, and Canadian Folk Music Award nominations.
✨ Loviet – 90s-tinged alt-pop/indie-rock powerhouse, winner of Music Nova Scotia’s 2024 Rock Recording of the Year.
✨ Pillow Fite – queer indie duo blending raw intimacy with jangly guitars; their latest album Hard Feelings, Soft Promises is a stunner.
✨ Sophie Noel – Dartmouth-based indie folk/art rock artist, blending nostalgia and grit into shimmering songs.
✨ Angel Girl – queer punk quartet grinding out filthy, furious anthems of feminine rage.
LOUD WOMEN was founded in London in 2015 as a feminist response to male-dominated lineups, and has grown into an international movement with festivals in London, New York, Melbourne and Sydney. Halifax is the very first Canadian stop on our journey – and we couldn’t be prouder to bring this celebration of feminist community and resistance to the East Coast.
With its thriving DIY scene and rich history of independent music, Halifax is the perfect home for LOUD WOMEN Fest Canada. The event is made possible thanks to Heather Harris of Kilmore, with support from Music Nova Scotia, and stunning poster artwork by Art of Pillow Fite.
