Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser Review
[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Let’s kick off the week with a good cleanse. I have readers far and wide so while it’s a bank holiday here in England, it’s not elsewhere, so I’m treating it as business as usual. One of the products I’ve been trying is Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser, and for someone who doesn’t particularly like wash-off gel cleansers, I have to make an exception here. I’m such a fan of squalane in any skin care – it’s so skin compatible by its nature as a natural oil akin to sebum that’s derived from sugar cane in this instance, although sources can vary. I’ve used both the Biossance Pro Peptide Lip Balm (used to come in a lovely glass jar but now it’s just a rather boring tube) and the 100% Squalane Oil that I’d recommend in a heartbeat for dry skin.
Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser has the freshness of aloe with the moisturizing salve of Squalane. You get a little bit of foam as you massage it over wet skin and it will remove make up although it wouldn’t be my first port of call for a full face – for light make up removal it’s perfectly adequate and it’s also a win for a morning cleanse thanks to the fresh feel.
The product description suggests weightless moisture and I’d say that’s completely accurate – there’s no tight feel and my complexion just feels happy afterwards – neither too dry nor too oily. The gel smells soothingly of aloe but there’s no artificial fragrance in this blend which, at £22 HERE, feels priced exactly right. If your skin is not behaving as you’d like it to, I’d suggest a product swap out for a few days using Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser followed by 100% Squalane Oil, £26, HERE, as an SOS regime until it settles.
