Billianne releases debut album Modes of Transportation #fridaysoundtrack – LOUD WOMEN

Canadian singer-songwriter Billianne releases her debut album, Modes of Transportation, via The Orchard. An introspective roadmap of Billianne’s mind, this brilliant debut is our LOUD WOMEN Friday Soundtrack. 

Billianne shares that Modes of Transportation is “how we get from one place to another, how we evolve from one version of ourselves to the next. And how I’ve been living with this hyper-awareness of constant change throughout young adulthood.”

The heart of Modes of Transportation is ‘Jessie’s Comet’, a melancholic track about growing up and letting go, leaning into the album’s theme of staying in motion through change. 

“It’s about how hard it is to let go of something good, even when you understand that change is a natural part of life. There’s a strange comfort in realising that everyone around me has gone through this too, that even though it’s painful, it’s completely universal.”

Modes of Transportation poses the relatable question, “How do we become who we are?” Across ten bright tracks, Billianne shares her perspective through heartfelt yet bold guitars and vivid storytelling.
