Alexander McQueen Fall 2025 Collection Review
We’re now on day six of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2025, and The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s jam-packed schedule granted us the Alexander McQueen Fall 2025 collection from Seán McGirr. The Dublin-born designer is now onto his fourth collection as the creative force behind the London-based fashion house, having succeeded the long-serving Sarah Burton in October 2023. This season, at the Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, McGirr explored the relationship of English urban life and the great outdoors. Sweeping floor-length dresses featured opulent flowing ruffles. Regal trench coats and lace stockings were adorned with floral embroidery, crystal-embellished masks were on full display, and the iconic McQueen skull print making a comeback. A selection of looks were finished off with hats designed by Philip Treacy.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“They must have spent most of the budget on that weird, unnecessary portal thing.” [youthinasia]
“I forgot about the existence of this brand. This man does not understand the essence of McQueen but also fails to bring something worthwhile. His tailoring always looks cheap. Why are we dragging scarves on the floor?” [reese06]
“Another tragedy at Kering.” [Grets]
“The first look gave me some hope but it quickly went downhill. This guy has no vision and his Tumblr sensibility doesn’t help.” [Avonlea]
“I mean it’s fine but I don’t give a single flying f*ck about that brand. Menswear is a nonevent and womenswear is a variation on archive.” [Olaffo]
“This collection isn’t as offensive as his debut. In fact, it’s actually okay-ish, but the struggle with tailoring is still obvious, and the rest of the show feels like a bunch of costumes, really” [perhydrol]
“I was expecting something very bad but I enjoyed it for what it is. I think he is becoming more and more confident at the helm of McQueen so hopefully for him, Kering will let him one or two seasons more.” [GivenchyAddict]
