Introducing Chatty: WE Magazine’s New Advice Columnist With a Whole Lot of Heart (and a Bit of Sass)
WE Magazine is thrilled to introduce our newest voice — Chatty, the smart, professional, and slightly cheeky advice-giver who’s ready to answer your questions about life, love, friendship, boundaries, and everything in between.
Chatty is like the friend you call when your group chat can’t be trusted — a woman with a warm smile, a big heart, and an uncanny ability to get to the truth (without making you cry… too much). With a cup of coffee in one hand and a well-earned eye-roll in the other, she’s here to listen, support, and gently nudge you toward clarity.
What kinds of questions can you ask Chatty?
Let’s just say: if you’ve thought it, she’s heard it.
Here are a few questions our readers might submit:
-
“I can’t stop comparing myself to people online. How do I break the habit?”
-
“I’ve outgrown my best friend, but I feel guilty distancing myself. What now?”
-
“I love my job, but my boss takes all the credit. How do I stand up for myself?”
-
“How do I stop people-pleasing without feeling like the villain?”
-
“My partner doesn’t support my dreams. Am I asking for too much?”
Whether it’s your love life, your family drama, or your inner critic that won’t pipe down, Chatty’s got your back — and your inbox.
A few favorite quotes from Chatty’s notebook:
“Good advice doesn’t always feel good in the moment — but it should always feel like freedom.”
“You can’t fix what someone won’t admit is broken — no matter how much duct tape you bring.”
“Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re doors. The right people will knock.”
Got a question for Chatty? You can send it anonymously — she doesn’t judge. (But she might lovingly side-eye.)
Look for What Would Chatty Say… on social media, in each issue of WE Magazine, and be sure to follow us on social to submit your question anytime.
Let’s talk. Let’s grow. Let’s get real.
Because Chatty always says: “If you don’t ask, how will you ever know?”
FYI: Chatty is a fictional character I concocted while using my favorite AI tool. This social experiment is meant to be fun and entertaining. While ‘she’ does offer great advice (with my help) she is not a ‘real’ person. Every day we take advice from faceless online tools and so, why not advice from Chatty? We will be sharing this column extensively on social media where you can ask any questions you want Chatty to answer. I hope you enjoy the column as much as I am enjoying creating it! And remember, “What would Chatty say?”
Warmly,
Heici Richards Mooney, Publisher
