Seed Swap AT CPL’s Humboldt Park Branch

8

Want to grow some plants but not sure what? Have more seeds than you need? Participating in a seed swap is a great way to pick up free seeds or drop off your extras.

The Humboldt Park Branch Library will be hosting its annual seed swap on Saturday, February 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Librarian Justin Miller and team will have a variety of seeds – vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Plant enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own seeds to share, but it is not mandatory.  You don’t have to be a Chicago resident or Chicago Public Library member to participate.

You can RSVP and get more details at https://chipublib.bibliocommons.com/events/696963c794297d3600a56c48

This year, The Field Museum donated many, many seeds and the Humboldt Park Branch staff could use help packaging them before the swap!

If you’d like to help, please join one of the upcoming seed library volunteer days, February 1st and 15th. The library is happy to give students service-learning hours for helping out, too. RSVP for the seed library volunteer days at
