25 years after Gisele Bündchen’s photoshoot for Victoria’s Secret Think Pink fragrance left the world buzzing, Hailey Bieber has recreated one of Bündchen’s most iconic pictures. In the video, posted on Instagram on January 7, the Rhode founder sat in the drawer of an antique dresser with her knees pulled up to her chest. She had her feet propped on the edge of the dresser as she leaned over to paint her toenails with light pink nail polish.
Bieber wore a light pink bra with black polka dots and a sheer black overlay on the cups. Peeking over the dresser edge, her matching lace-trimmed polka dot panties came into view. As the camera drew closer, her diamond drop earrings caught the light. Meanwhile, her brown hair was slicked back into a sleek ponytail, paying homage to Gisele Bündchen’s look from the archival photo. At one point, she briefly glanced at the camera before returning her attention to her nails.
The 2001 photo captured the Brazilian model in a similar pose as she painted her nails, sitting in the drawer of an ornate dresser. She was wearing a rose pink bra trimmed with dainty eyelash lace and matching panties. Even the backdrops for both shoots are almost identical, featuring flower bouquets and fragrance bottles.
The official Victoria’s Secret Instagram account captioned the video, “Because Valentine’s Day commands main-character energy.” The Victoria’s Secret PINK account remarked, “She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she is the moment.” Meanwhile, some fans commented, “SHE’S ICONIC,” “Oh she looks cute!!” and “I love Hailey.”
