Chipotle Debuts High Protein Menu Amid GLP-1 and Weight-Loss Trends

Protein has officially entered its main-character era, and Chipotle is leaning all the way in. As people reset their routines after the holidays, the brand is rolling out its first-ever High Protein Menu across the U.S. and Canada, tapping into the way consumers are rethinking food amid GLP-1 use and macro-conscious eating.

At the center of the launch is Chipotle’s newest grab-and-go offering: the High Protein Cup, a four-ounce serving of freshly grilled, hand-cut Adobo Chicken packing 32 grams of protein. Designed as a lighter, satisfying option, it reflects a growing shift toward protein-forward choices that help support fullness and steady energy—two priorities frequently cited by people navigating appetite changes associated with GLP-1s.

Chipotle also enlisted athletes and wellness creators to spotlight how real people build high-protein meals. Starting in January, fan-favorite orders from names like NBA player Josh Hart, registered dietitian Kylie Sakaida and health creator Samantha Milton will be featured directly in the Chipotle app, showcasing customizable, protein-forward meals built for real life.

“For years, guests have used Chipotle’s customizable offerings to build high protein and fiber-filled meals on their own,” said Chris Brandt, president and chief brand officer. “This curated menu brings that fan behavior to the forefront with clean ingredients and flexible portions, making protein and other dietary goals easier to reach.”

Available beginning Tuesday, December 23, the High Protein Menu can be ordered in-restaurant or through the Chipotle app and website. Prices start at $3.50 for a Single Chicken Taco at select locations, with the High Protein Cup averaging $3.82, making it an accessible option for everything from snack-sized bites to more substantial meals.
