3 Under-the-Radar French Fashion Brands I Can’t Stop Wearing

Though we shot these photos ahead of my trip to Paris and Provence (June 10th, to be exact . . . working ahead is part of the game!), I didn’t realize until afterward that I was wearing pieces from three of my favorite French brands. Each one has its own vibe, but they all share that unmistakable je ne sais quoi—quiet luxury, thoughtful design, and clothes that make you feel instantly pulled together. Let’s get into it.
3 Under-the-radar French Fashion Brands I Can’t Stop Wearing
MOLLI: Molli has been a favorite for years now. The brand makes the loveliest knit sets and sweaters. They’ve been around since 1886, but in 2014, Charlotte de Fayet took over and brought us the Molli we all know and love. The brand now has four boutiques in Paris and around the world. They are definitely more of a splurge, but IMO worth every penny. I buy a few pieces every year and cherish them; especially the sets! This skirt is next on my wish list.
NOMASEI: A French slow luxury brand founded in 2018 with shoes made at a family-run factory in Montopoli, Italy. The founders are Paule Tenaillon and Marine Braquet, who met in Paris while working at Chloé and bonded over their shared passion for designing timeless, sustainable shoes. What got me with this brand is how comfortable their shoes are! It started with this pair of pink platforms (now on sale — if they come in your size, grab them, they are perfect), and now I have a second pair in yellow (also on sale). Needless to say, I’m completely hooked on the brand.
MICHINO PARIS: This brand is a newer favorite, founded in 2014 by Japanese designer Yasu Michino (he’s lived in Paris since 2003, so it counts!). Before starting his own line (aiming to combine French elegance with Japanese simplicity), he worked for the likes of Delvaux, Balenciaga, and Givenchy. Impeccably made bags with saturated colors and a minimalist polish that feels chic, not shouty. I don’t know about you, logos have their place, but I’m a little bit over having everyone know where my bag is from immediately. This little blue bag is the prettiest color (photos are an accurate color match!) and a total compliment magnet.
French fashion just gets it right! Understated, elegant, and always wearable. I’m keeping my eye on a few more pieces from each of these brands (that Molli skirt is high on my wishlist), and I’ll be sure to share if anything new makes it into my closet. If you’ve discovered any French brands you love, I’d be so curious to hear about them. Drop me a note or comment!
