If you’ve been watching video by video for hours on end using TikTok, be sure to be aware of the latest announcement from Vodafone. The UK network is now offering unlimited data when viewing content on the TikTok video sharing platform. That means you should never be out of internet again. This upgrade is part of Vodafone’s VOXI service, which already offers unrestricted access to content on YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, My5, TVPlayer and UKTV Play. And now TikTok is joining this plan that VOXI calls Endless Video.
According to Vodafone, prices start at £ 15 per month, including unlimited calls and texts and 20GB of data. This isn’t the biggest packet of data ever, but any content streamed through TikTok and the other services mentioned above doesn’t count towards this small limit.
Another bonus is that the VOXI tariffs also include Endless Social Media (unlimited data for Facebook and Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitter) and 5G at no additional cost.
Customers who currently have a 15GB or 45GB 5G plan with Endless Video will also be automatically updated to enjoy endless streaming on TikTok starting today.
Scott Currie, Head of VOXI, said of the update, “We have seen how incredibly popular TikTok is with our VOXI customers as its usage has grown massively over the past year. By adding TikTok to our Endless Video plans, we’re giving our customers the freedom to access the content and channels they love, on a cellular network they can count on, at simple, affordable prices. “
It’s worth noting that a number of competing networks will continue to offer unlimited data regardless of what you see outside of your broadband network.
In fact, SMARTY just announced it is cutting the cost of its completely unlimited SIM card to just £ 18 a month, making it one of the cheapest ways to get all you can eat on the internet.
SMARTY, which uses Three’s 3G and 4G signal and does not require customers to sign a length contract, states that this unlimited SIM offer will be available through July 13th. Three is offering its unlimited data plan at half price for the first six months and then costs £ 20 per month for the remainder of the term.
