Which manufacturers are cruelty free within the SkinStore? Plus a route!

If you’re familiar with SkinStore, you probably know it as the place to find great skin care products. But did you know they have makeup too? I was surprised to see it! The SkinStore allowed me to select a few items that I wanted to share with you and I noticed that they have high quality, clean makeup like RMS, REN, Vapor Beauty, and Inika, as well as cheaper makeup brands like Eyeko, Pixi Beauty, and Revolution Beauty included.

Before I go into the reviews, ask yourself what cruelty-free brands are available at SkinStore? This is not an exhaustive list (there are so many) but these are some of the most popular and some of my favorites. A full list of all the brands they carry can be found here. SkinStore Cruelty Free Beauty Product Reviews

Okay, let’s get to the reviews, shall we? I got a refill of one of my Holy Grail skin care products and picked out a few cruelty-free makeup goodies that I thought you would love.

Tighten and lift StriVectin Peptight

Okay, let’s start with skin care! SkinStore has so many great brands. I received a refill of my favorite facial serum (which I use as a day and night cream), StriVectin Tighten & Lift Peptight. I was originally gifted with this amazing face serum by the brand and I posted a before and after here. I kept buying it because it is really amazing.

Peptight brightens and tightens the skin with peptides, vitamin C-rich cockatoo plums, ginger, licorice root, and a long list of other great skin care ingredients. I have definitely noticed my acne scars are lightening as long as I match this product. It also moisturizes (it’s pretty thick – not like your typical thin serum) and doesn’t make me break out (which is a big deal to me)! They also make a nice eye serum.

Vapor Beauty Lipstick – Chere

Let’s talk about makeup! As mentioned earlier, SkinStore surprised me with the number of makeup brands they carry. Got the cruelty free lipstick from Vapor Beauty in Chere and I was not disappointed! This is a high quality, clean beauty line, and the price is a little higher ($ 30). But the quality is so good and I love that they use lots of herbal, organic, moisturizing ingredients. The formula is highly pigmented, wears well and feels good on the lips. The shade called Chere is kind of peach purple, and I love it! I don’t wear lipstick every day, so they last a long time for me and are well worth the investment.

Grande Cosmetics Plumping Lipstick – Dulce de Leche

I picked the Grande Cosmetics Plumping Lipstick in Dulce de Leche because it looked like an easy-to-wear lipstick with the added benefits of a plumper lipstick. The website images made it look more orange / coral and less brown. Maybe it’s my skin tone, but it seems tan to me. There are a couple of colors that I think would look better to me, but I love the formula.

It stings a tiny bit when you put it on, but that’s mostly hidden by the peppermint feel. I’m overly sensitive and my lips are usually dry which makes them even more sensitive. So I noticed a tingling sensation, but it wasn’t bad at all and went away quickly. The swatch image above looks matte, but it looked glossy on my lips and felt very moisturizing. I love that it contains tripeptide-38, which repairs and plumps the skin and has the potential for long-term skin benefits. I would definitely buy a different shade from this line.

INIKA Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Duo – Black Sand

I tried the INIKA Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in Black Sand. I’ve colored them for you in the shade and in direct sunlight so you can see how the color changes in the light. I thought this would be a great little eyeshadow palette to add a quick all-over shimmer (down to the crease) and then use the black / charcoal shade as a smoked eyeliner. For 2021, I’m going quick and EASY when it comes to makeup! You can also use the black as a lid color and place the shimmer in the middle or under the forehead as a highlight. I love that this formula is based on minerals.

Revolution Beauty Color Book Eyeshadow Palette CB04

I’m such a fan of purples, purples, and pinks. I couldn’t resist picking up the Revolution Beauty Color Book CB04 eyeshadow palette. It’s a budget-friendly line (this huge range is only $ 20). I’ve noticed a lot of dropouts but the pigmentation is great. I LOVE that there is a matte shade that goes with every shimmer shade! And there are so many colors – a really great color story and palette. I think some of the colors are quite similar and possibly unnecessary. However, you can use it to create a perfect gradient color if you have the patience! The colors are just beautiful and fun to work with. It seems like warm earth tones have long been all the rage, so I was pretty excited to find this one!
