WhatsApp may quickly get among the finest options on Fb Messenger
Sometimes there just isn’t much to say. Perhaps you’re stuck in a huge group chat and want to confirm an announcement without adding to the noise, or just enjoy being more reserved with your friends and family.
We all know the feeling – so we were overjoyed to hear that Facebook’s own Messenger is now testing a feature that allows you to respond to messages with emojis.
It’s already a popular part of several other chat apps, including Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Slack, and Instagram Direct Messaging. Simply put, you can place an emoji right on a message to display your response without having to send your own message.
There are no details yet on what the version of WhatsApp will look like or which emojis will be included. Facebook Messenger currently lets you respond with just six (heart, laughter, shock, sadness, anger, and thumbs up), but other platforms support far more. Some even give you the option to create your own custom reactions.
We hope for varied reactions to play – the “crying with laughter” is always a win, but the champagne bottle, clapping or even the exploding head are used in abundance.

But we wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors are true. The chat app has been on some kind of update tour for the past few months and has added several long-awaited features. These include multi-device support, an iPad app, disappearing messages, better archived chats, and a way to switch your chat history between Android and iPhone.
