Both BT and Vodafone offer broadband services that are ideal for those who need a cast iron connection that cannot be broken down. BT was the first to announce this revolutionary broadband technology found with its Halo 3+ service. The Hybrid Connect Router is the result of a partnership between EE and BT and means that if your usual broadband connection fails – for whatever reason – it will automatically switch to a 4G signal.
As soon as your landline is working again, things will be rearranged again.
BT announced the “unbreakable” Halo 3+ service earlier this year, and Vodafone announced its Vodafone Pro Broadband offering shortly thereafter.
As with Halo 3+, Vodafone’s competing service offers a 4G backup signal if your main connection goes down.
The service was launched earlier this year but is now getting an upgrade.
The Vodafone Pro Broadband service now offers instant access to Amazon’s legendary voice assistant Alexa.

The intelligent loudspeaker helper, usually found in Amazon’s Echo devices, is built into the new WiFi booster that comes with Vodafone Pro Broadband.
Thanks to the Alexa integration of the WLAN booster, Vodafone customers can use Amazon’s voice assistant to listen to music, call up messages, set reminders and even activate Internet outages.
While the WiFi booster also provides access to a variety of Alexa skills, including Dinnertime, which allows customers to pause the internet for 30 minutes of downtime on certain devices.
This is ideal when you’re getting ready for a family dinner and want to turn off the WiFi so there are fewer distractions.
Vodafone Pro Broadband with Alexa Built-in is available in packages starting at £ 38 per month.

Commenting on the news, Max Taylor, Consumer Director of Vodafone UK, said: “We launched Vodafone Pro Broadband earlier this year to offer our customers shatterproof broadband at an unbeatable price.
“Now we’re going one step further by adding this incredible, one-of-a-kind, Alexa built-in broadband service that brings the latest technology to our customers’ homes and makes family life even easier.”
Vodafone also throws in many other good reasons to get the Vodafone Pro Broadband with Alexa package.
If you’ve never tried Amazon Music Unlimited, you can enjoy a 90-day free trial.
While the Super Wi-Fi Guarantee means customers who are not satisfied with their home Wi-Fi coverage will be offered the option to exit their contract free of charge.
Customers can also take advantage of dedicated support from a team of highly qualified WiFi Xpert.
And best of all, Vodafone Pro Broadband is cheaper than BT’s competing Halo 3+ service.
Prices start at £ 35 per month, saving customers over £ 600 over the course of the contract.
