Virgin Media may be raising prices next month, but the company is trying to mitigate the blow with some very nice freebies. Starting today, millions of TV customers can access a wide variety of premium content without paying a cent more.
According to Virgin, all TV customers in the UK will get free access to 22 pay TV channels through March 16, including Discovery HD, Comedy Central HD, E4 HD, Film 4 HD, FOX HD, Kiss, Magic, MTV HD and National Geographic HD.
In addition to live viewing, there is also access to shows on these channels if required.
David Bouchier, Virgin Media’s Chief TV & Entertainment Officer, said of the news, “We know it can be difficult to find fresh and fun ways to keep the kids (and ourselves!) Entertained, especially during the winter months . For this reason, we have expanded our free TV offer right on time at halftime and granted all our customers access to a large selection of additional channels and programs.
“Those looking for inspiration and ideas can also enjoy a selection of Tastemade food and travel shows, which are now available on request at no additional cost.”

And it’s aimed even more at younger viewers as you can take part in Aardman Morph model making workshops and a Harry Potter quiz on the My Sky app during half-time break.
