Unhealthy battery life in your Samsung Galaxy S21? The newest replace is designed to repair the drain

Samsung has come up with a solution to a battery drain issue affecting the Galaxy S21 phones. The patch appears in the second of two updates released this month for Galaxy S21 owners. The latest update has just been released – and while the changelog has nothing to do with battery issues, users on the XDA forum reported that the patch finally fixed the problem.

As reported by Android Headlines, some S21 users had reported that switching to the LTE module was causing their Samsung Galaxy device to use excessive battery power.

While others reported that several Android apps were running in the background, they were also consuming battery resources. These battery issues reportedly only affected the Exynos versions of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus.

Snapdragon models and the Exynos powered Galaxy S21 Ultra are not affected by this problem. If your S21’s battery life is running out faster than usual, then you need to keep an eye on the G9988XXU1AUB6 update.

This update weighs just over 257MB and the patch has only been rolled out in the UK, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland for now.

The patch is expected to be released in other regions in the coming days.

As usual, this latest Galaxy update is gradually rolling out as a wireless update. If you haven’t received the update yet, you will have to wait longer for it to get to your phone.
