If you want to screw a new TV to your living room wall, there are some new goggle boxes that come with features and content at a very low price. TCL just announced its new line of budget-friendly TVs, now powered by Roku.
If you didn’t know, Roku offers easy access to all major streaming platforms like Disney +, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and even Sky’s no-contract NOW service.
Of course, these apps all require a monthly subscription, but for those who don’t want to pay extra, Roku also has a lot of content that can be viewed for free.
Roku-powered televisions not only offer full access to Freeview Play, but also The Roku Channel, which offers UK consumers over 25,000 free movies and TV episodes. These include the recently launched Roku Originals, which have new entertainment options added every month.

Plus, with that easy access to hours of premium and free entertainment, these new TVs also come with 4K UHD displays and upscaling to enhance the look and feel of lower resolution programs.
Some models also receive Dolby Vision, which preserves and delivers entertainment in all of its intended glory. The Google Assistant is also built in so you can chat on your TV and get a smart answer. In addition, thanks to Apple AirPlay 2 compatibility, Apple fans can transfer content directly from their iPhone or Mac to the big screen.
TCL Roku TV models also support HomeKit, which allows users to easily and securely control Roku devices using Siri or the Home app on their Apple devices.
Commenting on the televisions, TCL Country Manager for the UK, Bernie Chen said, “I am very excited to be launching TCL Roku televisions in the UK. The combination of our affordable premium TVs with the Roku operating system offers consumers great picture quality and ease of use in addition to a wide variety of functions and streaming channels. I am confident that this partnership will help us maintain our strong sales growth in the UK and increase our market share. “
