When it comes to buying outerwear for the fall and winter seasons, it’s all about the weight of my clothes. I get cold so easily. So when I go outside in a jacket or sweater, my clothes have to be heavy, thick and cozy.
After looking through all of the popular Old Navy sweaters, I decided to try the Cozy Fair Isle Tie Belt Cardigan Sweater ($ 27, originally $ 55). I loved that it was made from a soft cotton blend and had a small collar for extra warmth. And because I wanted this to feel more like a wardrobe (chic word for long cardigan), I took advantage of the retailer’s variety of sizes and ordered this in a tall large. I’m 5’8 “and the sweater hit just above my knee which was a win.
When I put it on I couldn’t believe how heavy it was – a welcome surprise. I wanted it to be heavy, but at such a low price, I didn’t expect it to feel like it was. It will be the kind of piece I can put on in place of a robe in the morning, wear over leggings for errands, and curl up under it on future trips.
See how I styled it ahead!
