The Family Bell feature will also be expanded to eight new languages in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the function has been expanded to include another very popular extension.
Now assistant users can ensure a family bell is ringing on multiple home devices at the same time, not just a speaker or display.
Elsewhere, Google has announced that the Assistant is getting another great feature designed to make the parents’ evening routine a little easier. Just in time for this weekend, the assistant for Android and Smart Displays receives new stories that can be told during a child’s bedtime.
If you’d like the assistant to tell a Harry Potter story, you can say “Hey Google, tell me a Quidditch story”.
You can also say “Hey Google, Talk to Who Was Heroes” to hear inspiring stories from real life people like Ida B. Wells, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and over 100 others.
