Dark energy

Terra Moons Dark Energy Duochrome eyeshadow ($ 8.00 for 0.05 oz.) Has a blackened purple base with a blue and purple sheen that gives it a soft, metallic sheen. The texture was denser and slightly thicker than most of the brand’s eye shadows, but it was incredibly pigmented where a little mattered a lot. The denser, creamier consistency helped the product stick evenly to bare skin and wear longer, as it lasted for nine hours before noticeably fading.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.05 oz. – $ 160.00 per ounce

The formula is said to be “mixable” and “pigmented” with “a bit of kick-up” when used because it is “hand pressed”. Some shades come with “additional information” such as: B. on the brand’s website to be transparent (for that particular shade) or use a “glitter primer” due to the finish.

I found that some matte shades were more noticeably powdery than others, but whether there was a little or more noticeable powder really depended on a hue. The neon colors were the powderiest and most difficult to work with on their own; Some had more specific tips / guides on how to work with them, which I thought was great for disclosure, but it could be difficult to remember which shade to apply one way or another as it is really very varied greatly from shade to shade. The darker and less neon matt shades did the best for me – more pigmentation, better mixability, easier to work with and more consistent.

Most of the shades – matte and glossy – were pigmented, easy to blend, and applied well to bare skin. They lasted between seven and eight hours, with most being closer to eight hours before they faded (more matte) or wrinkled (some of the more intense metallic colors).

Terra Moons Siren Duochrome Eyeshadow ($ 8.00 for 0.05 oz.) Is a light to medium green with warm olive undertones and lighter patches of bluish-green sparkle. It was supposed to have “blue and reddish reflections” but I found it hard to see them. It didn’t have much variety to my eye – just a sparkling, metallic green.

The texture was smooth to the touch, moderately dense but more loosely pressed so it was best used with a lighter hand and a moderately dense brush to pick up the product. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented and lasted a good eight and a half hours, but over time it had slight precipitation.

star sign

Terra Moons Star Sign Duochrome Eyeshadow ($ 8.00 for 0.05 oz.) Has a pale, sky-blue base with a subtle sparkle that changes from cool lavender to greenish-gold paired with a high-gloss metallic finish. It had an opaque paint cover that applied well to bare skin and spread well along the edges without shimmering out too quickly.

The texture was smooth to the touch, dense but not thick or too stiff in the pan so it was easy to work with. Fading was visible after eight and a half hours of wear.
