If you’re a fan of surprises, this is probably the time to stop reading. Because the renowned tipster Evan Blass has outdone himself and published pictures and GIFs of some unannounced products that are supposed to come from Samsung soon. The leaks, posted in a long thread on Twitter, contain a staggering number of upcoming gadgets, including two new Galaxy Fold handsets, a new Galaxy FE, two new Galaxy Watches and even a number of new Galaxy Buds.
Evan Blass is not satisfied with revealing a huge list of devices and also claims to have published the date of the next Galaxy Unpacked launch event. According to Blass, Samsung fans have to write August 11, 2021 in their diaries.
While Evan Blass has a pretty solid track record of revealing new gadgets, it’s still worth taking all of this with a healthy pinch of salt. After all, nothing is confirmed until Samsung sends out the invitations to its next Galaxy Unpacked event.
But while nothing is guaranteed, it’s still exciting to sift through the blockbuster list of gadgets supposedly to come from Samsung next month. First of all, successors to the Galaxy Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Z Flip will be announced. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will reportedly offer support for the S Pen stylus – following in the footsteps of the popular Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will come in purple, black, gold and green color options.
Blass also took a first look at the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which stands for “Fan Edition”. This model will follow the hugely popular Galaxy S20 FE, which takes its inspiration from the current flagship but has made some tweaks to lower the entry-level price compared to the standard Galaxy S21. That formula could make the S21 FE a sales giant when it arrives.
Next, Evan Blass tweeted GIFs from two new Samsung smartwatches. One of these wearables goes very well with reports on a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The design stays close to what you’d expect from an analog watch, but with the Galaxy Watch’s signature rotating bezel for scrolling through menus and two side buttons.
Blass also posted pictures of the Galaxy Watch Active 4. This model comes in 44mm and 40mm case sizes and has the rotating bezel dropping – so you have to put up with a touchscreen covered in smudges from your fingertip. Apparently available in black, gray, dark green, white and peach.
And that’s not all. When he finished his rambling thread, Blass revealed the design of the next model of the Galaxy Buds. Called the Galaxy Buds 2, these new wireless earbuds feature active noise cancellation to cut out background noise. We’d expect Samsung’s transparency mode, which allows users to temporarily turn noise cancellation off to hear a Tannoy announcement at a station or airport without digging the earbud out of their ear, would make the cut on this next-gen pair do.
Blass revealed that the charging case, which can be used to charge the battery life of any Bluetooth Bud on the go, will be white, while the earbuds themselves will come in gray, purple, and white.
To sum up, August 11th, 2021 could be a blockbuster date for you if you’re itching to upgrade your smartphone or earbuds. If the leaks are correct, it looks like Samsung is planning one of its biggest hardware launch events of all time.
