Samsung has also shown another way to leverage the specs by connecting the glasses to a drone with real-time video and then broadcasting them right in front of the wearer’s eyes.
It’s certainly an interesting idea, although there’s no official word about when or if these devices will actually go on sale.
Of course, Samsung isn’t the only tech company to test the AR glasses concept. It is widely rumored that Apple and Facebook are working on similar ideas that bring information and entertainment right in front of users’ eyes.
Some reports suggest that Apple’s AR technology could be showcased as early as next year with prototypes that are already in the late stages of development. Top tech tipster Jon Prosser has suggested that the new hardware, despite being called Apple Glass, will cost around $ 499 (£ 400) when sold in Apple stores.
