Outlook doesn’t present any emails as Microsoft confirms the 365 failure

The tech giant has confirmed that there are teams of engineers out there trying to fix tonight’s problems so many are no longer able to use Outlook.

While Microsoft servers are not down tonight, some users are unable to check their email on desktop or mobile platforms due to problems.

For some, Outlook does not display email, or some of the text is missing or has corrupted fonts.

It is unclear what is causing today’s problems or how long they could last. The good news is that Microsoft knows the issues and is trying to fix them.

It should also be noted that issues were currently still occurring during this outage, which means it could be a localized problem.

When asked why Outlook is not displaying emails correctly, the official Microsoft Outlook account on Twitter stated:

“Thank you for reporting this to us. The engineering team is aware of the problem and is actively working to resolve it. We appreciate your patience while a solution is found. For more details, see EX255650 in the admin center. “

Another update from the Microsoft 365 support team reveals more information on this issue, adding, “We are investigating available data to determine the root cause. In the meantime, users with access to alternate protocols such as Outlook on the web or Outlook Mobile can use these as a possible workaround. For more details, see EX255650 in the admin center.

“We are investigating an issue with the visibility of email messages in Outlook. Outlook on the web doesn’t seem to be affected. “

Further outage news is expected if Outlook services do not return to normal in the next hour.

One user affected by Outlook problems today writes: “Microsoft Outlook problems are also occurring here in Los Angeles. Outlook does not display all emails. The problem started about 90 minutes ago.”
