One other rival to Virgin Media and BT is unleashing very quick broadband at a ridiculously low value

BT and Virgin Media may be two of the UK’s largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs), but they are being driven for their money by a number of smaller full fiber companies. Numerous new ISPs are popping up across the country, many of which offer great incentives to switch from better known brands.

The latest company to join this growing broadband revolution is Toob. This company currently offers ultra-fast broadband in a small area of the UK, but the company has big plans to expand in the years to come and their prices are extremely competitive. In fact, it puts BT and Virgin Media to shame.

Right now, those with Toob broadband can sign up on their street and get ultra-fast 900Mbps speeds for just £ 25 a month – that’s about half what BT and Virgin charge for similar speeds.

This price is for 18 months, but even at the end you won’t be stung by a massive price hike like some competing providers. Toob says the cost will climb to £ 29 per month, which is still very cheap for 900Mbps broadband.

For comparison, with 900Mbps broadband, downloading a Full HD movie would take around 40 seconds – the same movie would take over 12 minutes over a standard 70Mbps connection.

Along with this low price and high speeds, customers also get free installation, unlimited downloads and a £ 25 Amazon gift card when they join.

As mentioned earlier, the biggest catch with Toob is that it’s currently only available in the Southampton area but is rapidly expanding to include more areas including Guildford, Farnborough, Camberley, Woking, Aldershot and Eastleigh.

Even if you can’t get Toob, it’s worth checking out other local providers in your area as the trend towards smaller, cheaper, and faster networks grows in the streets.

Firms like Community Fiber, Hyperoptic, Cuckoo, Onestream and Gigaclear are all desperate to steal users from the big UK companies, and there is some big business to be done.

Hyperotic, for example, offers its fast speeds from just £ 15 per month, and Community Fiber users can get double the speed at no additional cost. So if you want better downloads in the shop, you can get improved internet access at a very affordable price.
