It’s no secret that Android devices are great value for money, but what’s coming from Realme soon takes things to a whole new level. The Chinese manufacturer has just announced the launch of a new flagship smartphone that offers some very impressive specs at an incredible price.
Perhaps the biggest news about the new Realme GT is that it is powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. These brains are the fastest available in Android phones right now. As a result, Snapdragon 888 chipsets are usually only found in the highest quality devices like the new Xperia 1 III and OnePlus 9, which cost more than double the latest from Realme.
When the 888 launched late last year, Qualcomm bragged that phones using it would get huge performance gains with significantly lower power consumption.
Aside from this incredibly fast processor, there are a number of other features in the Realme GT that we would normally only expect to be in the upper end of the market with prices over £ 800 or so.
Owners are pampered with a 120 Hz refresh rate screen that makes scrolling through content silky smooth and jerk-free.

There’s also a 64-megapixel triple rear-view camera that uses Sony technology for enhanced image results, and this device can be connected to the latest 5G data technology so users can access the internet at speeds over 300Mbps.
To help power owners through the day, a 4,500 mAh battery is compatible with Realme’s 65W SuperDart fast charging. That means this device goes from flat to full in just 35 minutes!
Additional features include Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers, hi-res audio, and a 3.5mm audio jack that allows wired headphones to be plugged directly into the case without the hassle of dongles.
Now we come to the crucial price.
Realme says its new GT will cost € 449 (about £ 390) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That’s pretty cheap, but there’s an early bird promotion that cuts the cost down to just € 369 (about £ 320).
The more expensive Realme GT with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs € 599 (approx. € 520) and from the 21st.
