Is a new limited-edition highlighter and bronzer duo that includes two existing shades from the brand’s core ranges – that information wasn’t easy to see, and I definitely wanted it! It would have been nice to see more than one duo too, as this one was skewed fairly easily. Together they formed a very shimmering, deeper gold tone with a rather brownish base.

Ibiza
Ibiza is a light to medium-sized gold with strong, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. The texture was soft and slightly pliable, which made it mixable and easy to pick up with a brush without being too powdery. It had a semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was applied evenly to bare skin. It carried well for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Formula overview

The new powder highlighter formula is said to “melt seamlessly into the skin to improve its natural shine” and have a “buildable look”. The texture felt smooth, was finely ground but firmer, in some ways almost stiff in the pan (not bad), and not powdery at all. The texture contained a dryness and thinness that made it less than traditional powder highlighter formulas (including the brand’s original selection of marking powders), and none of that resulted in poor performance.
That being said, all the colors applied better to my cheeks than to my arm. I also noticed that the finish was getting brighter and brighter – almost dazzling at times! – as the powder was buffed and mixed on my cheeks. They were very reflective and shiny on my cheekbones with semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation. I had no problem mixing and spreading the hues on my skin, and although I felt a tighter pan, I was able to use fan brushes and other feathered brushes to pick up the product. The powders lasted between eight and nine hours.

Laguna
Laguna is a light-medium-sized, golden-brown base with a fine gold pearl throughout. The consistency was quite firm, stiff, and thin, which made the product much more difficult to pick up and the surface more prone to picking up oils from my brush – an inevitable part of using a brush to apply on the face – and the product along to harden over time. It had a semi-transparent cover that was somewhat buildable but mixable. That shadow stayed with me decently for seven and a half hours.
