Dragon

Lisa Eldridge Dragon Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss ($ 25.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a lighter, medium-dark red-orange with warm undertones and a high-gloss, jelly-like finish because it had more light permeability. It had medium color coverage that wasn’t applied as evenly as other hues and seemed to pull a little into my deeper lip lines, although the lines themselves were softer / thinner than they normally appear and the settling wasn’t visible with normal viewing at a distance (in Compared to looking at a macro photo!).

The consistency was light, smooth and like a gel-like cream, as it was pleasant to spread, but did not slip too much when worn. It has worn well for four hours and felt moisturizing when worn. The recipe should be “light to medium” or “medium to highly pigmented” depending on the color, which you could see more clearly through the choice of words, but it is obvious in the model photos, and this color was definitely lighter to medium in the model photos as well as that, what I experienced myself.

Formula overview

$ 25.00 / 0.15 oz. – $ 166.67 per ounce

The formula is said to have a “medium to high pigment gloss” (depending on the shade; most are “medium” pigments) that makes the lips feel “silky smooth” and hydrated. The consistency was more like a creamier gel, so it was comfortable, spreadable, and felt soft on my lips without being sticky or heavy. Opacity varied from hue to hue, but ranged from medium to opaque, but tended to be what each hue should be.

The glosses were applied fairly evenly, with only minimal offset in my lip lines – the kind that is visible in the close-up photo, but not in person. They have a lot of shine which gives the illusion of slightly plumper lips, and it seemed to get a little smoother over time (an hour or more). The formula was really comfortable and moisturizing to wear, and it was one of the more moisturizing formulas I’ve tried in a while. There was no smell or taste.

vermilion

Lisa Eldridge Cinnabar Gloss Embrace Lipgloss ($ 25.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a deep, reddish copper with a more muted quality paired with a high-gloss, off-white finish. It had a semi-opaque paint release in a single layer that was applied evenly and softened some of my lip lines. The consistency was smooth, plush and non-sticky with a gel-cream feel, making it spreadable and comfortable to wear without being heavy. It held on me for a good four and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Depending on the color, the recipe should be “light to medium” or “medium to highly pigmented”, which could be more clearly indicated by the choice of words, but is recognizable in the model photos. On models, this shade seemed to have a slight translucency, but definitely not semi-transparent like most shades, and the opacity I achieved in one layer was comparable to model photographs.

Petal

Lisa Eldridge Petal Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss ($ 25.00 for 0.15 oz.) Is a medium-dark, rosy pink with soft, warm undertones and a high-gloss, cream-colored finish. It had medium to semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer that was applied fairly evenly across my lips, but it was a little streaky around the edges, but the color itself was closer to my natural lip color so I think they did some of them camouflaged imperfections in application (which may be more noticeable on someone with a more contrasting natural lip color).

The consistency was light, smooth and more like a gel-like cream, as it spread comfortably over my lips and felt pleasant without being sticky. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing over time. Depending on the color, the recipe should be “light to medium” or “medium to highly pigmented”, which could be more clearly indicated by the choice of words, but is recognizable in the model photos. On the models, this shade looked more like “medium to high” and that was consistent with the semi-opaque coverage that I had achieved myself.
