In a new video for Fashion, the famous momager reflects on her style from 1990 to 2021 and shares tidbits at the Met Gala, the Keeping up with the Kardashians Premiere, Paris Hilton’s 21st birthday party and the Chanel bag that Karl Lagerfeld gave her personally. “I’ve always had a love for Chanel,” says Kris.
While trends have come and gone, the fundamentals for Kris haven’t changed all that much over the years. For example, a 1992 photo of the Chanel motorcycle saddlebags she once owned shows her loyalty to the brand, and Kris also fondly looks back on the jewelry she bought during a trip to Capri with Robert Kardashian in the ’80s Has. “It was always about a great blazer, leggings, a great Chanel bag and nice jewelry,” she says, “and mostly it’s always black.”
There are some surprising outliers, however, including the Dolce & Gabbana “LIKE A VIRGIN” T-shirt that Kris wore to the Paris birthday party in 2002. “This shirt says it all … Kourtney still owns this shirt to this day.” Says Kris. She adds: “Sometimes I don’t know what I was thinking.” There are some regrets too, like the desperate white jeans Kris once wore at Costco: “That should be illegal. This is not okay.”
