IOS 15 Launch Date Introduced – That is when your iPhone will get these new options
It was a big night for Apple when the US tech company unveiled a range of new gadgets at its launch event in September, including a new iPad mini, an updated iPhone 13 range, and an upgraded Apple Watch with a larger screen. However, if you’re not looking for an upgrade, don’t panic as there’s something new to come next week.
Apple has now officially announced the start date for its iOS 15 software upgrade, which will bring a host of new features to any iPhone currently running iOS 14.
This update, first announced in June, includes major changes to FaceTime, with the video chat app getting improved audio quality and the option to block background noise that can interfere with your chats. Then there is the possibility to watch films together via SharePlay, whereby everyone can interact with the film, even if they are on different sides of the world.
Safari has also been completely redesigned, moving the search bar to the bottom of the screen for easier one-handed use.
Another change comes to Apple Maps with a massive paint job and new features, including a three-dimensional city driving experience.
Other extras include Live Text, which lets you copy and paste text from a photo. Menus, restaurant names, passport details and even handwritten notes can be copied and pasted as editable text in messages and emails.
And a new focus mode is introduced that allows users to turn off certain warnings or change the look of the home screen depending on what they are doing during the day.
If this all sounds exciting, it won’t be long before Apple launches this new software on Monday, September 20th.
The US company usually publishes things around 6:00 p.m. BST. So make sure you are close to Wi-Fi if you want to be one of the first to try out all of the new features.
“For many customers, the iPhone has become essential, and this year we’ve created even more opportunities to improve our daily lives,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering.
“IOS 15 helps users stay connected while sharing real-time experiences, gives them new tools to reduce distractions and find focus, uses intelligence to enhance the photo experience, and opens up new ones with major upgrades to maps Ways to explore the world. We can’t wait for customers to experience it. “
