Mark the date and time, because Lorde has just invented the color yellow. After a four-year break from the music scene, the kiwi pop star released her music video “Solar Power” and at the same time provided all the summery outfit inspirations we could need. In the breezy video, Lorde stands out from the crowd of neutrally clad beachgoers in a bright yellow underwire crop top and a matching skirt that blows in the wind as she romps around the water. She combines the right set with tortoiseshell sunglasses, gold earrings and a chain necklace and dispenses with shoes for optimal toe-in-the-sand action.
Shortly after seeing Lorde’s sunny outfit, I started scouring the internet to find it so I could hit the “Add to Cart” button as soon as possible. I discovered that the set was from an eco-conscious fashion brand called Collina Strada, but apparently I wasn’t the only fan to find this information because both the crop top and matching skirt are already sold out devastatingly online. Darn it! Looks like I’ve just found my weekend plans: refreshing the Collina Strada website in hopes of a top-up and fainting Lorde, who looks like an absolute beach goddess in the “Solar Power” music video.
