I requested three hairdressers which cuts profit from skinny hair

Long, full hair may be the standard (thank you, old school shampoo ads!) But in reality it’s far from the norm. There are many reasons someone might have thinning hair, from genetics to hair loss after childbirth. And while hair thinning is more common with age, anyone of any age can have thin or fine hair (also known as hair that is smaller in diameter than its fuller counterparts). So, as always, the right haircut can be a total game changer.

Regardless of your hair length or texture, your next cut is just a scroll away. We met with three highly talented hairstylists – Sanda Petrut from Maxine Salon in Chicago, star stylist Joseph Maine and Ryan Trygstad of Mark Ryan Salon in New York City—to learn her tips on cutting and styling thin and fine hair, as well to use the best products to style it. (Best of all: no expansion in sight.)
