I discovered the proper slip-ons for operating errands and canine walks (however pssst, these are literally slippers)

It’s almost winter and I finally have a grip on reality when it comes to my shoes. While I put on a long coat and even gloves most of the time, I was in sandals with my pup until a few weeks ago. As any dog owner can safely understand, on outings in the early morning and late into the night I just can’t bother with shoes that have to be laced or closed, and to be honest, putting on slip-on sneakers with my hands is too a lot of hassle when in a rush.

I had moccasins in mind as an alternative as it’s easier to just slide a foot in (especially if they’re a bit roomy), but I wasn’t looking for real slippers until I got these Old Navy Plaid Faux-Fur Trim Moccasin Slippers ($ 22 , originally $ 25). Not only are they extra festive, but I could say the sherpa lining would be twice as cozy with socks. . . but better than all apartments without.

When I discovered a matching puffy coat for pets on Black Friday, I of course immediately discovered it for a twin look on cool days (and I want to improve my coordination game with more buffalo plaid as soon as possible). I can’t say enough great things about these slippers as shoes, but I will tell you exactly why I love them with all my heart and soul.
