As much as I hate the cold, I love sweater weather, as well as many things. But the thing is, I’m a little bit picky. I like to stick with neutral colors that go with everything in my wardrobe and – as controversially admitted – I wear almost exclusively mocknecks and turtlenecks.
After recently falling in love with a faux leather jumpsuit from Walmart’s Scoop, I decided to try out one of the brand’s best-selling sweaters. After studying the store’s top rated pieces, I landed on the Cozy Mock Neck Sweater with Balloon Sleeves ($ 19, originally $ 29), available in four colors: gray, neon green, tan, and pink.
I put the gray sweater in my shopping cart and when it arrived a few days later I slipped it on and put it in my favorite black Hudson jeans. One thing was immediately clear: it’s so soft. Like, blanket soft. And it looks like something you would get at Madewell or Aritzia.
My favorite thing about it? The balloon sleeve detail. This makes the sweater look a lot more expensive than it actually is. Aside from being worn with jeans, I think it will look so cute with a pair of faux leather leggings too. But that’s how I personally plan to wear it – the styling options really are endless.
