It was a hot moment for Gucci. The brand presented its Love Parade show on Hollywood Boulevard in the spring of 2022, and followed three days later with its 10th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala, which was held in LA. The emerald carpet continued the trend of partnering with A-list celebrities and saw Serena Williams, Elle Fanning, Awkwafina, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Tracee Ellis Ross, Lil Nas X, and many more – many of whom also sat in the first row for the runway.
While Cyrus wore the brand’s colorful riff on Balenciaga’s floral print, Lil Nas X’s GG Supreme feather cuffs certainly stood out, as did Jodie Turner-Smith’s fuchsia rhinestone ensemble. The guests of the event were pampered with a performance by Celeste and Florence Welch and the herbarium-printed Gucci napkins on all tables, which even matched the rich color palette of jewels. The proceeds from the gala will be used to finance the programming of the museum and the inclusion of art and film through exhibitions.
