HBO Max’s gossip Girl reboot is certainly a strong (and yes, dramatic) start, but for fans of the original, we admittedly longed for some screen time from OG cast members. And for its fifth episode, which revolves around Halloween, the show surely comes with an iconic cameo from none other than Nelly Yuki (Yin Chang), former minion turned fashion editor.
As a result, Nelly returns to the crew’s “Huluween” party, and as if that wasn’t exciting enough in itself, she came dressed as real (former) fashion editor Eva Chen, who is now Instagram director of fashion partnerships. In a brightly colored coat with a fur patch and oversized sunglasses, Nelly, who still appears to be a high-profile editor, introduces herself to Obie (Eli Brown) at the event. Her costume is inspired by a very recognizable Eva moment during Paris Fashion Week in 2018, and according to the fashion icon herself, Nelly is likely wearing the actual Sandy Liang coat and Chanel bag she was wearing at the time.
