The handy new Google Meet feature was recently introduced in a workspace update. In a blog post about the update, Google said, “We’re providing a quick preview of how you will appear to others before entering a Google Meet video call.
“This new feature will allow you to verify that peripherals have been properly configured and corrected, to verify that your network connectivity is good and to understand the impact of noise cancellation on your audio (if available for your account).”
To use this feature, Google Meet users can check their audio and video data before joining a meeting.
When you click this button, Google Meet users will be directed to the uniquely named “green room”.
This isn’t as glamorous as a real green space that is used for actors in the theater and for stage shows between performances. But it’s just as convenient.
