The problem was solved by Dr. Web discovered that says the malware was distributed as “harmless” software and has been installed more than 5,856,010 times.
According to reports from the specialists at Doctor Web to Google, some of these malicious applications have been removed by the US company. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean everyone who downloaded them is safe now, as these will remain on the devices until they are manually deleted.
Here is a full list of the applications that users must remove immediately.
• PIP photo – Over 5.8 million downloads
• Process photo – Over 500,000 downloads
• Garbage cleaner – Over 100,000 downloads
• Inwell Fitness – Over 100,000 downloads
• Daily horoscope – Over 100,000 downloads
• Keep app lock – Over 50,000 downloads
• Lockit master – Over 5,000 downloads
• Horoscope more – Over 1,000 downloads
• App lock manager – Over 10 downloads
