Get a very good night time’s sleep with the brand new Nest Hub good speaker from Google

If you’re not getting enough beauty sleep, Google may have come up with the perfect gadget. The tech giant’s new all-screen nest hub may look pretty similar to its predecessor, but this new device has a clever sleep detection trick up its sleeve.

Its housing contains unique radar technology that allows you to check how your body is coping with the sunset and how comfortable you are under the covers. Powered by Google’s Solos, the Nest Hub can monitor you all night, checking your breathing, movement, and even snoring.

There are also regular light and warning checks in the room, both of which are factors in getting a good night’s sleep. Once you wake up from your sleep, you will receive a full report on how well you are sleeping and recommendations on how to improve things.

Before you freak out that Google is watching you at night, know that there is no camera in the Nest Hub and that all of your personal data is stored on the device itself with nothing sent to the cloud.

In addition to tracking sleep, this device has also been designed to let you descend with its screen that can be automatically dimmed and relaxing sounds that play softly through the built-in speaker.

Information such as news and weather reports is also displayed on the screen. You can also link them to your Google Photos account and use them as digital photo frames.

Another nice bonus is that the Nest Hub is fully compatible with a number of streaming services including Disney +, YouTube, and Netflix, although watching shows on the tiny 7-inch device may not be for everyone.

One final thing to note about this new device is that Google has improved the audio credentials by 50 percent better bass than before.

About the new device Ashton Udall, Senior Product Manager at Google Nest, said: “A little over two years ago I was part of the team that developed the Nest Hub, Google’s first smart display. Since then we’ve been looking for ways around these devices to make it even more helpful.

We know people are already coming to Google for information and tools to help them lead healthier, happier lives, and we’ve seen more and more questions about sleep, exercise, and health. That’s why we decided to bring these types of solutions to our second generation Nest Hub while improving the things people already love about them. “

According to Google, Sleep Sensing will be available as a free preview on the second generation Nest Hub until next year. There’s no word on what will happen after that, although users may pay a subscription fee in the future.

The new Nest Hub costs £ 89.99 and is available for pre-order starting today in chalk, charcoal, sand and fog.
