Freeview joins Sky and Virgin Media with 4 nice new FREE channels

Sky, Virgin and Freesat users were recently spoiled with four new channels and now Freeview is one of them. The popular free-to-watch platform has just got a range of additional content from the newly launched GREAT! Network that offers blockbuster films and classic TV shows. The new channels now available on Freeview include GREAT! Movies, BIG! Classic movies, GREAT! Movies action and GREAT! TV.

At the start, customers can see hits like Blade Runner 2049 with Ryan Gosling and Ridley Scott’s science fiction epic Prometheus with Michael Fassbender.

There are also classics like the Oscar-winning musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic Oliver !, the classic Hitchcock thriller Psycho, and Sidney Poitier and Katharine Hepburn in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.

If you fancy an evening full of nostalgic entertainment, GREAT! tv, which shows series such as Murder, She Wrote, Charlie’s Angels, Starsky & Hutch, Hart to Hart and the classic Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.

Narrative Entertainment’s new channels will replace Sony Movies, Sony Movies Action, Sony Movies Classic and the Sony Channel.

Of course BIG! isn’t the only thing you can see on Freeview as this service just got bigger and better over the years.

In fact, Freeview Play, which comes pre-installed on most modern smart TVs and can be viewed on Amazon’s hugely popular Fire TV Stick devices, not only offers 70 live channels, but it now offers over 30,000 hours of on-demand television from streaming services like iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5, to name a few.

Freeview has grown its live and streaming content by more than half in the past two years.
