Could it just be a coincidence that HBO Max gossip Girl Star Emily Alyn Lind arrived on the pink carpet in a pants suit, just like Blake Lively’s 2007 premiere look? For sure. But we suspect the budding style expert who works with Elizabeth Saltzman on her wardrobe scanned some old reference photos from the archives.
While Emily seems in the mood for an everyday pant suit, this Gucci set topped off with a vest and tie feels more attentive than most. Lind stood tall in leather platform sandals and wore crystal-embellished rings – one with Gucci’s signature G’s – as she posed for photos with the rest of her bold and beautiful castmates. If you look back at Blake’s own sleek pant suit, which came with tapered pants and a blazer that she unbuttoned, there’s a similar vibe of casual-cool – and she even wore a chunky rhinestone ring on her right hand, much like Linds! Although Blake is more of a pump queen, her peak heels in ’07 were clearly just as confident.
