Dua Lipa, who recently showed an affinity for collecting butterfly statement wear, works with her stylist Lorenzo Posocco to create only the grooviest pieces. The “Cold Heart” singer was spotted in London rocking a sugar pink outfit from Blumarine Primavera Estate’s Spring 2022 collection, which featured many Y2K trends, including the aforementioned butterfly. (In fact, Dua also owns one of the denim sets that debuted on the catwalk alongside this outfit.)
But when we saw her dazzling in that breezy chiffon crop top and skirt – with the perfect glitter pedicure to accentuate her rhinestone butterfly shoes with the wraparound ankle strap – we immediately popped one of those torn Britney Spears posters out of one 2002 before youth magazine. Spears wore a similarly delicate dress with butterfly embroidery in Cannes in the early 2000s (below), and suddenly we can no longer see the resemblance here.
Dua completed her own outfit with a touch of purple eyeshadow, silver rings and a shoulder bag with chain links, also directly from the latest offer from Blumarine Creative Director Nicola Brognano.
