Do you personal a Galaxy S9? Newest Samsung information proves it is time to change to the S10 or S20

Galaxy S9 owners have just received a blow that could finally convince them that it’s time to move on to something new. Samsung just quietly updated its security page, with the outdated S9 now referencing quarterly updates rather than the current monthly upgrades this phone has since launched.

Basically, this means that owners will only receive these important patches every three months from now on. The S9 is now receiving quarterly security updates along with other devices such as the Galaxy S7 Active and Galaxy S8.

While this should still keep your phone relatively safe, if you want to get changes from Samsung on a regular basis, you will need to get online and buy a new phone.

For those upgrading to a new device, there is better news as Samsung recently announced that it will extend security updates for its latest phones and keep all upgrades for at least four years.
