Dior Romantic Voyage (749) 5 Couleurs Couture eyeshadow palette ($ 62.00 for 0.24 oz.) Is a new (er) pink and taupe color story that featured a mix of finishes that ranged from matte to shimmery. The first two shades were less consistent and more transparent, and they would be easier and more powerful for someone who always uses a primer or sticky base with their eyeshadow shadows. The remaining three shades were pigmented, mixable and long-lasting with a little powder in total.

Romantic trip # 1 is a light pink with subtle, cool undertones and a pearlescent sheen. It had a semi-opaque paint release coupled with a soft, slightly powdery texture that worked better over a primer because it looked a bit uneven and dusty when applied to bare skin. It was seven hours before it visibly faded.

In general, the texture was moderately dense, with the matte shades being a bit thinner and a little powdery in the pan when compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic tones.
Aside from these shimmery shades, the formula was mixable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted for me an average of eight hours (without primer).

Romantic trip # 2 has more of a transparent base that’s full of pale champagne sparkles, which gives it an almost wet finish. The texture was fairly smooth, slightly creamy, and appeared to have a good amount of binder in it as the product applied well to bare skin with minimal precipitation, although using a fingertip or dampened brush would be ideal to work with. It had a medium color coverage that could be built up with a second layer up to a semi-opaque coverage. This shade had a slight precipitate after seven and a half hours of wear.

It had a rich color coverage with a smooth, slightly creamy texture that wasn’t squeezed into the pan too tight or too loosely, so fallout wasn’t an issue, but the product picked up nicely with a dry brush. It wore well for eight hours before noticeably fading.
