ColourPop Wild Little one Tremendous Shock Shadows Scores & Swatches

Run wild

ColourPop Run Wild Super Shock Shadow ($ 6.00 for 0.07 oz.) Is a light-medium bronze with warm, gold undertones and pearls, as well as patches of contrasting lavender and pink micro-sheen in a metallic finish. It had an intense color coverage that adhered well to bare skin and had a smooth, even layer of color that remained miscible along the edges.

The texture was slightly pliable, creamy to the touch, but was dense and spongy as the formula was designed. It felt more powdery when it came into contact with my skin. This shade wore well for 10 hours without fading or wrinkling.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow is a cream-based formula that comes in a variety of colors and styles. The more metallic hues have the greatest slip (they feel “wetter”), while the more matte ones have a firmer, more clayey consistency. Almost every shade I’ve tried on ColourPop has been exceptionally long-lasting (more than 10 hours of wear, usually until removed, even 14 hours later). Pigmentation can vary from shade to shade, but the average shade is quite pigmented.

Based on the feedback I’ve seen from readers, many love them, but some don’t like them at all. They’re not a traditional off-white eyeshadow as they’re denser (spongy) and best applied to me with flat, firm, synthetic brushes (I like the MAC 242 and 249). The brand recommends using fingers for the most pigmented application, but I just felt that fingers are necessary on some shades of color (usually the super glittery ones).

The matte shades can be drier and vary from medium to opaque coverage, although they are often buildable. The margins can be a little difficult to even out, although they are very nice to work with.

The shimmery colors were the weakest for me as they can be sharper or harder to apply. Sometimes they’re more pigmented and act like the other surfaces in the formula, but often they’re sharper and only work well on pigmented eyeshadow to add glitter. They do tend to have little rainfall over time, however, with the occasional shade having a more moderate amount of rainfall (but still less rainfall than most powdered eye shadows with glitter).

Primal instinct

ColourPop Basic Instinct Super Shock Shadow ($ 6.00 for 0.07 oz.) Is a medium-dark brown with moderate, warm undertones and a pearlescent sheen. It had a rich pigmentation with a slightly emollient consistency that was wet to the touch but smooth and not too slippery.

The eyeshadow was applied evenly to bare skin and blended well around the edges as it became more powdery as soon as it came in contact with my skin. It took a good 10 hours without fading or wrinkling.

Free domination

ColourPop Free Reign Super Shock Shadow ($ 6.00 for 0.07 oz.) Has a deep, muted brown base with subtle, warm undertones and flecks of pearls in rose and olive gold, and sparkles in a more satin-like base.

It had an opaque paint cover with a creamy, smooth consistency that was pliable but not overly slippery, so it was applied evenly and made an opaque cover in one layer. It stayed fine for 10 hours with just a hint of precipitation over time.
