Clionadh Aura Iridescent Multichrome Eyeshadow (Series 2) ($ 14.25 for 0.05 oz.) Has a translucent base with a multi-colored sheen and minor sheen that alternates between cooler pink, warmer pink, peach, gold, and chartreuse. According to the brand, it has a “translucent base that reflects pink-red-orange-gold-lime”. I had no problem finding and seeing all the different changes in the eye, although for my eye it was more chartreuse to be full of “lime”.
It had almost opaque color coverage through all of the shimmer / gloss and was completely opaque when applied with a damp brush or fingertip. The texture felt smooth, emollient, and moderately dense in the pan so it wasn’t prone to dropout when applied to bare skin. It took a good eight and a half hours before it wrinkled me slightly.

For those who find more popular multichrome formulas (often those with a black base) harder to incorporate into the look, the Iridescents are some of the more versatile multichromes I’ve come across that offer intense, changing effects, whether alone or plain can be used out, over an eyeliner or over your favorite eyeshadow. They’re also slightly smoother and tightly pressed into the pan, with a generally finer shimmer / sparkle, making them less fragile and prone to failure.
They work well with dry or firmer brushes, as well as fingertips and dampened brushes. The last two methods mentioned give more intensive and metallic surfaces and a somewhat more even application from the start. The majority of the hues had semi-opaque to opaque color coverage – more of the shimmer / shift since the bases are designed to be transparent – that faded out slightly and stuck well for eight to nine hours before fading.

Clionadh Halo Iridescent Multichrome Eyeshadow (Series 2) ($ 14.25 for 0.05 oz.) Has a translucent base that’s full of multi-colored shimmer and finer luster, alternating between orange peach, peach gold, and chartreuse, paired with a metallic sheen. According to the brand, it has a “translucent base that reflects hot orange-peach-gold-lime”. I don’t know as much about “hot orange” as I do about pastel orange, but otherwise I had no problem recognizing the various shifts when using them on the eye / in person without having to deform myself in seven different ways.
The eyeshadow had a smooth, moderately dense consistency that was squeezed hard enough not to tend to fall out, but still gave way to a dry brush. It was applied evenly to bare skin and was not prone to breakdown. It had an opaque paint cover – from the shimmer / shift rather than the base – that could be diffused as a detergent by using less and applying with a fluffier brush. After eight and a half hours of wear and tear, it showed signs of fading.
