Chanel Emblematique (147) Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color ($ 38.00 for 0.12 oz.) Is a vibrant, medium red with strong, cool undertones and a bright sheen with barely any micro-sheen. It had an almost opaque pigmentation in a single layer that stuck smoothly to my lips and smeared comfortably without being too heavy or too soft. It lasted well for six hours, leaving a faint mark, and hydrating over time.

The formula is said to have a “satin finish” with “ultra-thin pigments” that give “full coverage” while also having a moisturizing base. Most of the shades in the series have a semi-gloss to glossy finish – not glossy, but they have a luminosity that gives the impression of a lighter color and smoother, fuller lips that a true satin finish doesn’t (in my experience). .
The texture feels more velvety – smooth with great glide but not a lot of moisture, so it feels comfortable, but feels very light and thin, but doesn’t emphasize the lip lines / lip texture. The opacity tends to be semi-opaque to opaque, so that they do not always meet the requirement of “full coverage”.
Most shades last four hours or more, with some of the deeper and bold shades lasting six hours or more, and the formula did moisturize for me. They have a subtle, floral scent, but no noticeable taste.

It had semi-opaque, buildable paint coverage paired with a light, slightly emollient consistency that was thin (but not clingy!) It lasted a good five hours and felt moisturizing over time.
