It’s been exactly three years since Vogue Greece made a triumphant comeback with a magnificent Bella Hadid cover. Under Thaleia Karafyllidou, the magazine has produced covers with everyone from Jessica Chastain to Meghan Roche to Candice Huffine to Victoria Beckham. To celebrate three years of print, the Greek fashion bible goes all out by casting a pair of supermodels to front its April 2022 issue. Carla Bruni and Helena Christensen appear on a trio of celebratory covers captured in black and white by photographer Nico Bustos.
Unfortunately, one cover flopped hard on our forums. “The cover with the two of them together is very lackluster. But I like their individual covers,” noted mikel the moment the covers dropped.
“The individual covers are cute, but the duo one fails in comparison — both of them should be smiling or both giving a striking expression. Each one either way feels incongruent,” WAVES pointed out.
“The duo cover is a fail because Helena looks mad,” added mepps.

“The cover with Carla and Helena together is shockingly flat, lifeless (despite Carla’s smile) and disjointed. The solo covers are somewhat better, but still very underwhelming — especially for what is supposed to be a third anniversary issue,” proclaimed vogue28.
“The black and white does not work at all. There is no artistry or finesse in terms of lighting and composition. It’s not enough to just make something black and white, there needs to be more thought put into it,” critiqued GivenchyHomme.
“Love the solo covers,” confessed Urban Stylin.
Meanwhile, Silkspring described the covers as “gorgeous,” but do you agree?
