The popularity of “ugly” shoes can be confusing. We’re still trying to understand the rise of papa sneakers and Maison Margiela’s split-toe shoes. When we first heard about clogs moving back into the spotlight, we were admittedly concerned. However, upon further investigation, we found that the term “cool clogs” is not an oxymoron.
Case in point: Rachel Comey. The designer has turned himself into an army of clogs with a woman who creates so many fashion-conscious couples that they could fill a closet. Isabel Marant and Jacquemus also took part in the campaign.
Indeed, if you’re wondering how to wear them, your options are many. Put on a pair after you’ve put on your most elegant sweater and slightly cropped jeans. Swap out the jeans for a pleated skirt and you’re good to go. When the temperatures rise, wear your best spring clothes.
In the slideshow above you can find the cool clogs that you will (almost) never want to take off.
