Apple announced on Tuesday that its annual developer conference will be held on June 7th. Like last year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it will only be online. The event runs until June 11th and is free for developers.
At WWDC, as the event is called, Apple usually introduces its new iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac software. Sometimes the events are also used to introduce new hardware products, especially those that take advantage of the new software features.
The event is aimed at developers who create apps for Apple’s products. However, it is often the first time the public has had a glimpse into new features available on their devices. Typically, the software announced in June will be released in beta before its final fall launch.
