Samsung is still busy rolling out its One UI 3.0 operating system upgrade to more smartphones and tablets. This Android 11-based operating system brings a variety of new features and upgrades to Galaxy phones, including an updated look and camera enhancements.

After flagship devices like the Galaxy S20 have already been updated to the new mobile operating system, it is now the turn of the popular mid-range and cheaper phones to receive this upgrade.

There’s no official word on when each device will be offered One UI 3.0, but SamMobile reports that some users are already seeing the changes. According to the Samsung-centric website, some Note 10 Lite owners in France have already started getting the One UI 3.0 in the past few days.

It’s easy to check if your device is ready to be upgraded. Just go to Settings> Software Update. Then check if One UI 3.0 is available. When it appears, select the update and tap Download and Install.

If your phone has a contract over a network, it may take a little longer to appear. This is because the software often needs to be tested by every network operator before it is released to customers.

Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications, said of One UI 3.0: “The introduction of One UI 3 is just the beginning of our commitment to delivering the best possible mobile experiences to Galaxy customers by gaining access to the latest versions of operating system innovation, as soon as it is available.

“A user interface 3 is an essential part of our mission to continuously offer our customers new, innovative and intuitive experiences throughout their device lifecycle. So if you have a Galaxy device, you have a gateway to new, unimagined experiences for years to come. “

If you have a compatible device and can download the update, here are some of the new features.

The first thing you’ll notice is a fresh new look on your screen, developed by Samsung to make things less cluttered and easier to look at. The Korean tech company believes that this design upgrade in One UI 3 was developed to add simplicity and elegance to the user experience.

Another change is new visual effects created to help owners focus on specific tasks. Redesigned widgets have been added to help organize the home screen.

There’s even a change when the screen is locked with redesigned widgets that let you control music and view important information like calendar events and routines without having to swipe and unlock your device.

Samsung also offers quick ways to view usage information that shows exactly how much screen time you’ve had. Other useful additions include a new way to customize the Quick Panel so that you get the features you want, where you want them.

Finally, there are some improvements to the camera with One UI 3 installed. Improved AI-based zoom on photos, as well as improved autofocus and auto exposure, help to get a great shot.
